Privacy Policy

1. The short version
Bytario's consumer site at bytario.com runs every tool entirely inside your browser via WebAssembly. Your files are never uploaded, transmitted, or stored on our servers. Open DevTools → Network, use any tool, and verify it yourself: you'll see zero outbound requests carrying your file contents.
Bytario is operated by DMG L&D, LLC ("we", "us", "our"), a Florida limited liability company.
2. What we collect
- On bytario.com (the consumer site): nothing about your files. We log aggregate page-view counts via Cloudflare's privacy-preserving analytics (no cookies, no cross-site tracking, no personal identifiers). We do not run Google Analytics, Facebook Pixel, or any other third-party tracker.
- On api.bytario.com (the paid B2B API): we process and temporarily hold the file bytes you send us for the duration of the conversion request — typically under one second. We do not persist file contents to disk or any database. We record the fact that a request was made (timestamp, endpoint, bytes in/out, status code) for billing and abuse prevention. We retain billing-related request metadata for 24 months.
- Account data: if you subscribe to the API, we store the email address you provide to Stripe, your plan tier, your API key (hashed where applicable), and your current month's usage counter. We do not store payment method information — Stripe handles that directly.
3. What we never do
- Sell, rent, or trade your personal information.
- Train machine-learning models on files you submit.
- Share file contents with any third party, ever.
- Place advertising on bytario.com.
- Track you across other websites.
4. Third-party processors
The paid API relies on a small number of vetted subprocessors, each used only for its stated purpose:
- Cloudflare — hosting, DNS, DDoS protection, KV storage.
- Stripe — payment processing and subscription management.
- Resend — transactional email for API key delivery.
We have executed data processing agreements (DPAs) with each subprocessor. A full list is available in our Data Processing Addendum.
5. Your rights (GDPR / CCPA)
If you are a resident of the European Economic Area, United Kingdom, or California, you have the right to access, correct, delete, or export any personal information we hold about you. To exercise those rights, email privacy@bytario.com. We respond within 30 days.
6. Data retention
Consumer-site files: never stored, so retention is zero. API request metadata (timestamps, endpoint, byte counts): 24 months for billing and fraud analysis, then permanently deleted. Account records: retained while your subscription is active, plus 7 years after cancellation where required by tax law.
7. Children
Bytario is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 13. If you believe we have, contact privacy@bytario.com and we will delete it immediately.
8. Cookies
We do not use cookies. Bytario does not set first-party cookies, third-party cookies, or any form of local storage for tracking purposes. Cloudflare Web Analytics, our only analytics provider, operates without cookies and without collecting personal identifiers.
9. Changes to this policy
We will post any updates on this page and update the "Last updated" date above. Material changes affecting your rights will be announced via email to account holders at least 30 days in advance.
